Location: 24km from Nadi Airport; approx. 40 km from Lautoka Port, on the banks of Sabeto River extending up the hill slopes along the creeks.

Background: Lion One is developing the Tuvatu Gold Project into a mining operation with projected annual production of 400,000 tonnes of ore per year, recovering 80,000 ounces of gold on an annual basis, at a projected capital cost of US$50 million. The development includes underground mine development, electrical substations, and a processing facility that includes crushing circuits, grinding circuits, flotation and gravity concentration, leaching circuits, waste rock dumps, a tailings dam, associated infrastructure and access roads, and progressive rehabilitation.

Assignment: ARGO prepared Operational Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (OEMMP); quarterly ecological surveys; annual Water Quality & Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Surveys; Fish and Shellfish Quality Monitoring Surveys; Mine Rehabilitation and Closure Plan.

OEMMP includes environmental objectives, actions, performance indicators, corrective actions, responsibilities and monitoring requirements, including management plans for:
